FoGL in conjunction with Melbourne University, has conducted some PFAS testing of drinking water from sites around the Lakes. Marine Mammal Foundation<\/a> also conducts toxicology testing that found very high levels of PFAS in Gippsland Lakes dolphins. We believe other research is happening however there is currently no formalised program for PFAS monitoring as far as we are aware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Common products PFAS can be found in are bandages<\/strong>, waterproof clothing<\/strong>, firefighting foams<\/strong>, pesticides, cosmetics, tea bags, sunscreen, food packaging and non-stick cookware.<\/strong> and many many others.
